About IndieLaunch

IndieLaunch is a free launch platform and directory for products built by indie makers. A maker submits a SaaS, an AI tool, a developer tool or a side project, we check it, and it gets a permanent page at indielaunch.dev that people and search engines can find long after launch day.

The name gets used for a few things, so to be clear: this is the site at indielaunch.dev. It isn't a Next.js template, and it isn't a launch-planning app.

Who runs it

IndieLaunch is built and run by Rupamjit Ghosh. The same person ships the site, reviews the submissions by hand and answers the email, so a listing that's wrong has one obvious person to tell.

When it started

The first line of code was written in September 2026, and the site went live later that month. It began as a weekly leaderboard, then became a plain newest-first feed, because a leaderboard only means something once enough people are voting on it. More than 350 products are listed so far, and the state of indie launches report publishes the live numbers.

How listings are reviewed

Every submission is reviewed by a person before it goes public; nothing is published automatically. The review checks that the product is real and working, that the site loads, that the listing describes what the product actually does, and that it isn't a duplicate. Spam, scams and empty placeholder sites are turned down.

A free launch with our badge on its site is reviewed within 24 hours, and one without it usually within a week. A Premium launch is reviewed within 24 hours and pinned as Featured on the home page. Paying buys position and speed; it doesn't buy approval. Some listings are added by us rather than by their makers. Those pages say so, and the maker can claim the listing by proving they run the site.

How it differs from Product Hunt

Product Hunt is built around a daily race: products compete for upvotes for 24 hours, and most of the attention goes to the top few. IndieLaunch has no votes and no race right now. A product goes live when it's approved, and it's listed by category as well as by date, so it doesn't have to win a single day to be found. The page is written to be useful in search, with what the product does, who it's for, its pricing and its alternatives, and AI assistants can read the same catalog through llms.txt.

It's also much smaller, and the honest advice is to launch on both. Our Product Hunt alternatives guide and the list of launch platforms cover where else to go.

How it makes money

Listing is free. IndieLaunch earns from Premium launches and from sponsor ads, which are labelled as sponsored and carry no link value. A free listing's link to its site is nofollow until our badge is verified on that site; a Premium listing's is always followed.
