How to use it
- Pick what you've built: SaaS or web app, AI tool, developer tool, mobile app or a design resource.
- Pick your budget (free only, or paid listings too) and what you want most: visitors, backlinks or reviews.
- Work down the list a few sites a week, starting at the top. Open a site's page here for its prices and submission steps.
What you get
- Matches site types to your product, so an AI tool sees AI directories and a mobile app sees app sites.
- Free-only filtering from each site's own pricing page, where we've read it, with the date we read it.
- For backlinks, sites with a stated Domain Rating and a stated link policy come first.
Free, with no sign-up. It runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent to us.
Frequently asked questions
- How many directories should I submit to?
- Quality beats count. Ten to twenty relevant sites, spread over a few weeks, usually do more than a hundred at once: you have time to reply to comments on each, and a slow, steady set of new links looks natural to search engines.
- Do directory backlinks still help SEO?
- Followed links from real, relevant directories that people visit still help a new site get found and build authority. Links from thin directories that list anything for a fee help little and can look spammy. The link checker on this site shows whether a listing's link is followed.
- Where do the prices and link policies come from?
- From each site's own pricing, submit or FAQ page, read by hand on the date shown on its page. Sites change their prices, so anything we haven't read yet shows as not stated rather than guessed.
- Is IndieLaunch on the list?
- IndieLaunch is free to launch on, and the product page links to your site; it's dofollow with Premium or while our badge is on your site. It's not ranked in this list, so the list stays a fair look at other sites.
