IndexNow is a protocol that lets a website tell search engines the moment a page is added, changed or removed, so they crawl it right away. Bing and Yandex support it; Google does not.
The site sends a short request listing the changed URLs, along with a key that proves it owns the domain. Many platforms and plugins do this automatically.
Bing's index is also what several AI assistants search, so a page Bing knows about quickly can appear in those answers sooner.
Why it matters for a launch
It is free and takes minutes to set up, and it turns a wait of days into minutes for part of the search market. IndieLaunch pings IndexNow for every approved launch.
