Dogfooding means using your own product yourself, for real work, to find problems before users do.
Makers who build tools for problems they have themselves get this for free.
It catches rough edges in daily use that a quick test misses, though it can't replace feedback from users unlike you.
Why it matters for a launch
Using the product daily keeps quality up and gives you honest stories to share when you launch.
